New Hosting Servers

Big Budda Boom is pleased to announce that we recently added a third server to our hosting inventory, to ensure added capacity for website and email hosting systems. The new server runs the latest version of the Plesk control interface, allowing Big Budda Boom clients to quickly and easily administrate their own hosting environment.

We have moved!

As a result of our expanding client base this year, Big Budda Boom has moved to a newer, bigger home-studio in Brisbane. Due to the move, our office internet connection is currently in the process of being relocated – so we may be a little slower than usual in responding to emails until mid-March

Please note that our hosting systems are not affected, as they are located in a secured telehouse facility.

Big Budda Boom at Mardi Gras

Big Budda Boom recently visited Sydney to film the 2008 Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade for an independent documentary which looks at the history of the Mardi Gras parade and gay & lesbian rights.

Our crew of four (1x boom operator, 2x camera operators [with 1 steadycam unit] & an interviewer) conducted interviews throughout the day while parade participants set up their floats & 300,000+ parade onlookers reserved their spot on the grass. At night, the Big Budda Boom crew joined other media (and over 10,000 parade participants!) on the parade route as the 150-strong float line-up weaved its way down the 2km route in Sydney’s CBD.

The footage will be edited into a documentary in the coming months.
